Job Description

Location: Haringey, North LondonContract: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: PO1 (£32,430)Hours: 36 hours per weekAbout the roleThis role offers a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is looking for variety, responsibility, people contact and a degree of autonomy.If you thrive on being busy and meeting challenges and can juggle several tasks at once this is the job for you. You will play a key role in providing an effective, reliable and responsive recruitment advisory and administration service, which will include managing recruitment activities and providing advice and guidance to applicants and recruiting managers.It is essential that you have previous HR/recruitment experience, particularly managing high volume recruitment campaigns. You will be challenged with providing an excellent administrative service whilst maintaining a customer focused approach when dealing with managers and prospective employees.About youOur ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with excellent communication and customer service skills and able to work on own initiative and juggle a busy workload. Dealing with various enquiries both internally and externally, you will need to have a flexible and pragmatic approach to your work. You will have a proven track record of providing service and developing strong relationships, whilst utilising your skills in planning and prioritising your work load, handling difficult situations, meeting deadlines and ensuring the provision of an efficient service will be key to your success in the role.Key responsibilities

  • To act as the first point of contact for general recruitment enquiries from staff and managers providing general advice and support on the recruitment procedures and processes.
  • To manage all stages of the recruitment process from approved vacancy to appointee start date within a designated area or for dedicated recruitment campaigns.
  • Ensure all staff are employed in accordance with the Homes for Haringey’s Recruitment and Selection policy and procedure and current legislation.
  • Responsible for the administering of pre-employment checks and procedures as appropriate including references, pre-employment checks; validation of right to work; disclosure and barring
  • To support with the HFH assessment and recruitment days, to include if required being part of panel interview process
  • Assist with the advertising of roles and screening of candidate process providing a succinct and relevant shortlist of applicants for roles
  • Monitoring the workflow of vacancies coming into our Resourcing Team to ensure they are advertised within service level agreements and workload of colleagues is shared.
  • Provide an expert service to hiring managers to ensure they have an efficient recruitment experience; this will include regular communication with team leaders include supporting with the interview process and communicating with candidates at all stages of the process.
  • Key Knowledge and skills
  • Proven experience in delivering an administration service.
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment with strong client orientation skills.
  • General recruitment experience
  • Proven track record of customer service excellence
  • Have worked in a recruitment service and delivery role with excellent people skills.
  • Experience of permanent, temporary and agency worker recruitment
  • Experience of working within a highly efficient and proactive in a recruitment team
  • Experience in advertising using relevant channels and media campaigns
  • Experience in undertaking detailed screening of candidates to include competency-based interviewing where required
