Job Description

Salary: Off ScaleLocation: Haringey, North LondonContract: Permanent, Full-timeHours: 36 hours per weekAbout the role:This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced individual to lead on delivering programmes that transform services and innovate ways of working. The role requires consistent maintenance control and oversight of programme management for the whole organisation. You must be able to provide change management services that help drive innovation and improvement initiatives within Homes for Haringey.About youYou will lead a team that is responsible for, and effective in, change management, business analytics, project management, customer insight and complaints management. Our ideal candidate will be able to provide effective leadership, coaching support and motivation to staff in the teams reporting to them and work with senior management to identify, develop and deliver transformation programmes and major change initiatives within the organisation.Key responsibilities

  • Work with senior management to identify, develop and deliver transformation programmes and major change initiatives within the organisation.
  • Manage an effective complaints handling and Members Enquiries service for the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with key stakeholders including the council, executive and senior management, resident groups, partners and external peers that help support an understanding of business needs and challenges from different perspectives in order to provide an effective support service.
  • Develop and maintain systems for managing corporate knowledge’ including policies, procedures and processes, that are documented to high and consistent standards and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Support the organisation with appropriate forms of benchmarking and peer reviews that help support performance improvement and maintain a performance management framework for the organisation.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching support and motivation to staff in the teams reporting to you. Ensure all staff are recruited, trained, managed, appraised and developed in accordance with internal and statutory procedures in an effective and sensitive manner.
  • Ensure there is a customer focused approach to continuous service development and improvement that responds to the needs and aspirations of residents.
  • Take the operational lead in liaising with our customer service partner (responsible for providing contact centre services) to ensure effective collaboration in service delivery and improvement.
  • Actively promote and encourage stakeholder involvement in service improvement, monitoring and standard setting.
  • Take responsibility for achieving the required key performance targets for the service and good levels of internal customer satisfaction.
  • Essential Experience
  • Proven track record of successful people management and being a great leader
  • Track record of successful programme management and driving change initiatives in medium to large organisations
  • Experience of working constructively with a range of external and internal partners
  • Experience of customer insight management
  • Good understanding of performance management and experience of driving performance improvement. Essential Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • PRINCE2 Project Management (Desirable)
  • Key Knowledge and skills
  • Good understanding of social housing
  • Quality assurance systems
  • Problem solving and solutions focussed
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both in person and in writing to a range of audiences
  • IT literate, proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good financial acumen in managing budgets, delivering efficiencies and realising value for money
