Job Description

Salary: PO4 (£39,774 - £42,684)Location: Haringey, North LondonContract: PermanentHours: 36 hours per weekAbout the roleHomes for Haringey have an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join the Health, Safety and compliance Team.This role will see you support the Head of Health, Safety and Compliance in ensuring that property compliance issues across the business are adhered to all times. This is a challenging role that will require you to think quickly and strategically, ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism and to the needs of our tenants.We are looking for a confident compliance professional with a minimum of 2+ years experience within compliance or a similar position. You will oversee internal compliance reporting systems, attend and, where required, facilitate the compliance meetings.About youThe ideal candidate will hold a relevant technical professional qualification i.e. Gas, Electrical, HNC or equivalent in building construction, maintenance or surveying.You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in a similar post and ideally in housing / local authorityKey Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and advising service managers and business partners on the implementation of compliance programs
  • Review and scrutinise a range of property related compliance policies and procedures, including gas, legionella, electrical testing, CDM, fire safety, etc
  • Set and monitor the achievement of challenging targets for agreed KPIs
  • Follow up on compliance issues that require investigation, conduct interviews, scrutinise details and ask questions to ensure adherence to compliance across the organisation
