Job Description

Area Sales Manager - LVT & CarpetJob Title: Area Sales Manager - LVT & CarpetIndustry Sector: Flooring, Independent Retailers, Retail Showrooms, Flooring Retailers & Distributors, Carpet, LVT, Vinyl Flooring, Tufted CarpetAreas to be covered: North LondonRemuneration: £40,000 + £10,000-£17,000 BonusBenefits: Fully expensed car & full benefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager - LVT & Carpet will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a mid to high end manufactured range of carpet and newly launched high quality range of LVT
  • Selling into independent flooring retailers and distributors
  • Responsible for circa 120 retail customers on patch
  • £1m revenue responsibility
  • Tasked with growing an area currently performing at 70% of budget expectation
  • 90% account management, 10% new business development position
  • Account sizes will vary from £5,000 per annum up to £70,000 per annum
  • Supporting retail showrooms with merchandising
    • The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - LVT & Carpet with:
  • Must have proven field sales experience with LVT luxury vinyl tile or carpet
  • Must have sold into flooring retail showrooms
  • Must be comfortable selling POS (point of sale) displays
  • Comfortable with occasional overnight stays when required
  • Self motivated/ enthusiastic
  • Commercially aware
  • Ideally worked for a flooring manufacturer
