Job Description

Job Role: KS1 Phase LeaderLocation: Ealing BoroughStart Date: September 2022Duration- Full Academic Year (could be extended)Salary: Inner London Pay Scale plus TLR 2a (£2,873)We are looking for a passionate experienced Teacher, to lead and support development in a diverse, nurturing Infant School in the Ealing Borough. The position will be starting from September 2022 with interviews being held on Tuesday 28th June and thereafter. Although this a temporary position, there is possibility for it to change to permanent. The School:

The Role:
  • Take specific responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day management and organisation of your TLR responsibility area
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • Have an impact on educational development beyond your assigned pupils
  • Line manage and appraise identified staff
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the school throughout the day
  • Act as a reviewer with the arrangements for the appraisal of all identified staff
  • Take a lead role in identifying group and/or individual training needs and provide support for colleagues within your area of responsibility promoting a whole school approach
  • Act as a role model, mentor, or consultant to colleagues as appropriate and encourage collaboration, co-operation, and teamwork
  • Ensure your keep up to date with current developments in your TLR area and disseminate information as appropriate
Manage Resources
  • Be responsible for the organisation, planning and evaluation of the school
programmes as relevant to your TLR area of responsibility
  • Manage, monitor, and accurately account for any budget for your area.
  • Evaluate, organise and monitor the use of resources
What you will need:
  • Recent experience of successfully co-ordinating or leading a curriculum area or year group/phase.
  • Previous experience as a Phase 1 lead or substantial teaching leadership experience in a Infant/Primary School.
  • A clear understanding of the essential qualities necessary for improving the quality of learning and teaching.
  • In depth knowledge of the curriculum/area as relevant to the TLR role being applied for.
  • Up to date knowledge of statutory regulations and guidance relating to the post.
Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
