Job Description

Year 5 Teacher

  • Location: Birmingham, B26
  • Job Type: Full-time, Long-term (for the remaining 2 terms of the school year)
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent upon experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a ‘Good’ primary school renowned for its dedication to providing the highest level of teaching. This role offers a long-term position for the remaining two terms of the school year, with a schoolthat boasts a comprehensive, balanced, and exciting curriculum.Day to day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons to Year 5 pupils, fostering a diverse and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Design curriculum and strategic plans that cater to the individual needs of pupils.
  • Evaluate and monitor lessons to continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Maintain good order and discipline among pupils, safeguarding their health and safety.
  • Use innovative teaching techniques to inspire and motivate pupils.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team and colleagues to enhance educational outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2.
  • Proven track record of raising attainment standards.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work independently.
  • Personable, friendly, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one.
