Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Aqua Aerobics teacher to teach two 45 minute sessions on a Wednesday morning - 9:45 & 10:45 - on a permanent basis.These classes are held at an outdoor pool and therefore the instructor will have to come in weather appropriate clothing. It is the Instructors responsibility to ensure they provide a fun, safe and suitable class for our clientele with appropriate music.This role is part of the Health & Well being department and the responsibilities will include:

  • Plans and leads safe and effective exercise / activity sessions in one or more assigned fitness disciplines appropriate to qualifications.
  • Creates a welcoming class environment for all fitness levels and encourages and motivates class participants.
  • Builds effective, authentic relationships with members, helps participants connect with one another as part of the local community.
  • Ensures that safety and injury prevention policies and procedures are adhered to by participants; reports accidents / prepares accident reports as required.
    • The successful candidate of the role of Aqua Aerobics teacher will have:
  • Level 2 Exercise to music or equivalent, or Level 3 Pilates / 200hr Yoga teaching training course.
  • Adheres to minimum CPD requirement on year-by-year basis
  • Understanding of First Aid procedures
  • Focused first and foremost on the views and needs of the external and internal customers.
  • Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Able to produce reports and present work analytically
  • Good planning and organisational skills in order to manage a busy and varied workload
