Job Description

SUPERB OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN A HIGHLY TECHNOLOGICAL COMPANY BASED IN SOUTH WEST LONDON.This is a PERMANENT position with details of the role below:JOB ROLETo provide support to Production in order to improve or develop assembly processes and test equipmentMain tasks and responsibilitiesDesign and build mechanical fixtures and jigs for production assembly.Design and develop electromechanical inspection & test equipment.Develop designs to produce detailed 3D engineering models in SolidWorksProduce detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings to BS8888 standardProduce basic electrical schematics and electrical hardware assembly drawings.Understand PLC systems using ladder logic and sequential function charts.Source equipment and components.Produce related process documentation including Standard Operating Procedures, D/PFMEA, and BOMsAssist with the verification and validation of equipment or process change to production assembly and testing.Support failure and quality issue investigations related to product assembly.Train production operatorsResearch and propose assembly process improvements.Liaise with manufacturing and supply chain departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers as required.Ensure document control and data management guidelines are followed at all times.Other DutiesAttend relevant training and CPD to develop & maintain professional skills (to be agreed and arranged for technician specific training)Other duties may be requested on occasion in line with the remit of the role and skills of the job holderThis job description is an accurate reflection of the duties of the post at the time of writing but will be changed from time to time to meet the changing requirements of the company.Key SkillsDegree qualified in Mechatronic Engineering.Min 5 years experience, ideally Automotive / high volume.Experience in electro-mechanical design and assembly of jigs and fixtures required for in-house manufacturing and validation testing.Experience using SolidWorks CAD software.Ability to produce high quality engineering drawings to BS8888 standard.Experience / good knowledge of writing software programs, ideally C+, Python, C#.Good understanding of electrical and pneumatic control systems.Experience / good knowledge of machine automation and process improvement.Knowledge of machine safety.If this applies to you, please send me your CV for consideration.Thank you and good luck.Advantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
