Broster Buchanan are delighted to represent this global client based in Peterborough to recruit a Head of Finance to join the commercial finance team. My client is renowned for having a professional and collaborative culture, this role exists due to aninternal promotion.The Head of Finance role requires an experienced finance professional capable of manging a team and ensuring accurate reporting is maintained. A key objective of the role will be to review and drive through change to improve process efficiency as the businessevolves i.e. follow a continuous improvement ethos.The Key responsibilities for this role are: Coach and develop, inspire and motivate the staff to achieve optimal performance; Reporting responsibilities for a number of high profile brands within the portfolio; Ownership of the weekly reporting processes including the divisional Flash, Total Revenue Report and other weekly reporting outputs, including the bonus tracker; Ownership of the month end close process, ensuring an accurate month end position, commentary on movement and an accurate balance sheet position that is fully substantiated; Ownership of the relevant SOX controls and audit queries; Support and assist the wider Finance teams with the budget and forecast processes as required; Review of current reporting and control processes to ensure appropriate; Regular liaison with the remote Commercial Finance team to build an effective working relationship. Ensure responsibility and dependency between the teams is clear and all relevant information is communicated to ensure accuracy of reporting;To apply for this role you will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA< ACCA OR CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience ; Advanced ERP and Excel knowledge; Previous experience of managing complex reporting processes and outputs; Ability to manage change and drive efficiency in reporting; Show a good understanding of the key drivers of the business and what impactsthose key drivers; Work closely with finance and business stakeholders to help influence decisionmaking on key issues; Demonstrate the ability to create a vision for the team and translate it into a practicalwork plan for the team.
