Job Description

Begame is an innovative and leading online gaming company, developing internationally successful websites, games (bingo and slots) and platforms.Job Purpose Begame has a portfolio of proprietary products including Bingo and Casino websites which makes use of Third Party Providers, which you would be responsible for.The Product Owner will have ownership of the Payments Roadmap, including the continual addition of Payment Service Providers (PSPs) within existing and new markets.The Product Owner will work with the Head of Product and the Product Team as an interface between the Stakeholders and the Technical Teams to ensure the delivery, ongoing success and continuous improvement of existing and new payment solutions.The successful candidate will need to work closely with UX to optimise payments flows across bingo and casino products.Responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact with regards to Payment Solutions with internal Business Stakeholders
  • Act as the primary contact with all Third Party Payment Providers
  • Lead one or more multi-disciplinary agile delivery team(s) to deliver excellent new products and/or iterations to existing products to meet user needs.
  • Gather user requirements to create user stories and liaise with stakeholders to polish content.
  • Create effective, prioritised product features and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost- effective way.
  • Negotiating on potential change of scope on current projects/stories and performing risk assessments, and contingency plans for project pipelines
  • Supporting the Head of Product with the prioritisation of work for the Development Team and UX Team alongside the Department Heads ensuring project timelines are considered as well as the overall strategy.
  • Managing the product backlog as per priorities given by Head of Product.
  • Participating in stand ups, sprint planning meetings, refinement sessions and retrospective meetings
  • Providing demos, user manual documentation and training on all product features to relevant teams
  • Leading Story Mapping with relevant parties
  • Staying up to date with the latest industry innovations and conducting competitor analysis
  • Influence and provide improvements on processes where necessary.
  • Clearly communicate project timelines with the relevant stakeholders
  • Closely working in a supportive role with the Head of Compliance.
  • Essential Attributes:
  • Experience of integrating Payment Service Providers (PSPs) in the UK and other markets.
  • Experience of game integrations is desirable.
  • Ability to see the big picture, evaluate the business impact of issues and prioritise various requests.
  • Adaptable and flexible with an ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
  • To ensure key milestones of a project are met.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to turn complex concepts into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across different countries.
  • Line management experience and mentoring other product members would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Technical ability or coding background would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Skills/Competencies:
  • 3 or more years of product owner/product manager experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with iGaming payment solutions. Ideally through both direct integrations and aggregators.
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant payment regulations, such as PCI DSS, PSD 2, Gambling Commission & Malta Gaming Authority regulatory is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to function as a self-starter.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Proactively and effectively acquiring product knowledge
  • Experience of using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Feels comfortable creating wireframes and flow charts.
  • Successfully capturing, utilising, and sharing customer insight
  • Anticipate problems and provide a decisive response to significant delivery challenges.
  • Contribute to creating a collaborative way of working across teams.
  • Promote knowledge sharing to support the success of the organisation.
  • Clarifying business priorities, roles and responsibilities and securing individual and team ownership
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
