Job Description

Mid to Senior Architectural Designer/ Senior Architect- Shopping malls- London (Rhino+REVIT)About the client: A large architectural/ design led practice, leading in large scheme commercial/retail design and build projects in Europe, Middle East and Asia (150, 000- 800, 000 sqm).About you: You may require to manage teams of around 2-5 people on each project. Therefore prior experience in a similar setup is paramount to the role. Essentially you would have delivered project size of around 150, 000 sqm- 500,000 sqmunder supervision. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and Revit is essential. Previous experience in large retail/ shopping mall/ department stores/transport/mixed use projects is essential. Due to the size and nature of projects- large and complex space layouts,ideally you must be a qualified architect (RIBA/ ARB). Successful roll out of such complex projects require architectural/ faade expertise as much as interior spacial design experience. Ability to communicate in Mandarin and some experience in Chinese constructionprocess, dealing with local design institutes, is highly desirable to be able to guide team and review construction drawings.Further:

  • Minimum 8 years of luxury design experience delivering mixed-use projects globally.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills, naturally igniting great rapport and adapting style to all levels.
  • Superb knowledge of materials and finishes, confidently take responsibility from concept to completion.
  • Able to confidently take responsibility in leading CD, SD & DD package delivery programming resources and workload.
  • Able to confidently assist the associate in the design and production of interior or architectural projects within the office.
  • Manage and mentor a small group, leading and motivating them towards deadlines.
  • Consider the relationship between creativity and technical design as fluid.
  • Collaborative with other disciplines such as signage, installation, and branding.
  • Expert level knowledge of Rhino and AutoCAD required (Visualisation/ FF&E delivery expertise preferred), Knowledge of REVIT preferred.
  • Previous experience working for an international firm.
