We are committed toempower people to rebuild their lives and regain independence.The service you will work in….Hammersmith and Fulham Housing Support and Inclusion Service provides floating and outreach support to vulnerable adults across the borough.In this role you will deliver a floating support/outreach service, with a primary focus on housing and benefit related support for vulnerable adults aged 16 and over. The aim of the service is to support individuals in need to address their needs and increasetheir independence and confidence. The service is short term, 3 - 6 months and Service Users can access the Community Hubs that we run during their support and afterwards on a casual basis.A day in this role looks like….As a Floating Support Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Complex Needs service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • You will work as part of a large team based in Fulham.
  • You will have an individual caseload.
  • You will support vulnerable adultsto sustain their tenancy, for example,completing housing applications; assisting with rent arrears, repairs and antisocial behaviour issues; benefit applications and signposting to other partner agencies.
  • Promoting better health and wellbeing of Service Users.
  • The opportunity to work in our Community Hubs, which run twice per week.
  • The opportunity to deliver Drop In Sessions at Pocklington Lodge, a service for sight impaired individuals.
  • You will work alongside other professionals in the borough to deliver tailored support to Service Users.

  • Ability to work with people with a range of different support needs, aspirations for their future and associated risks.
  • Ability to deliver high quality floating support to people with a range of needs and risks.
  • Good knowledge of welfare benefits and housing options and legislation related to statutory duty.
  • An ability to communicate with a wide range of agencies in a professional manner
  • Possess good problem solving skills and have an ability to "think on your feet".
  • Able to lone work in the community in a confident manner.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office with experience of using databases, such as Salesforce.
