Job DescriptionSupplies Coordinator Location: West Midlands Hospital, HalesowenHours: 22.5 hours per week, Part-time, FTC until April 2025Salary: Depending on experience + BenefitsSummary:West Midlands Hospital is one of the West Midlands leading private hospitals set in 3.5 acres of pleasant grounds at Colman Hill, Halesowen, ten miles from Birmingham City Centre. Operating since 1988 the hospital has 34 private bedrooms, all with en-suitefacilities.By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services. The two fully equipped theatres with ultra clean air technology are particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures.The role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Supplies Co-ordinator to join our successful and dedicated team at West Midlands Hospital, based in Halesowen. This will be a FTC until April 2025 as this will be for maternity cover.We are currently looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, computer literate person with good communication and interpersonal skills.You must be a team player and will have preferably worked in a stock control or goods-in environment previously, though thisis not essential as full training will be given.As a Supplies Coordinator you will be joining a team responsible for handling all orders and management of stock coming into the hospital. Mainly working in and around a busy Theatre department, you will be responsible for the control of the ordering and stockcontrol of the consumables and equipment needed in the hospital. You will be required to carry out regular stock takes, place orders for goods as well as dispatching and putting away deliveries.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Professional and confident IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Accuracy and reliability
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Initiative with a flexible and proactive approach to work
English and Mathematics are an essential part of the role as is a good standard of general education.Some knowledge of medical terminology would be beneficial, though not essential.You must have a keen eye for detail.Benefits:
