Job Description

We are pleased to be working with a Halesowen based Financial Services firm looking to recruit a talented Paraplanner to support the team. This is a super opportunity to work on a large portfolio of interesting clients in an environment which concourages growth and development.As an experienced Paraplanner you will be responsible for collecting the detailed information required to compile a client’s financial plan, this includes:

  • Check all compliance paperwork is present
  • Discuss clients Attitude to Risk and Capacity for Loss with planner with regards to possible investment options as per objective
  • Discuss client objectives with planner
  • Identify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial Cashflow forecast
  • Compile draft net worth statement; income and expenditure statements and financial Cashflow forecast and discuss with planner
  • Preparing recommendations and identify areas for planning
  • Undertake research both independently and with the financial adviser to identify suitable solutions to meet the client’s needs
  • Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by planner
  • Liaise with client’s legal and tax advisers (if applicable)
  • Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile.
  • Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discuss/signed off by adviser
  • Implementing recommendations
  • Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations
  • Ensure all compliance paperwork is in order
  • Act as main point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication
  • Establish and build strong relationships with clients
  • Organise future planning meetings with clients
  • Review investment portfolio, asset allocation, risk profile etc
  • Get updates from the clients
  • Send summaries to the Planner highlighting potential advice areas for the next meeting
  • You must have the following experience:
  • Have used Intelligent Office and Standard Life Wrap platform
  • Ideally you will have achieved a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
  • You will have at least three years relevant paraplanning experience
  • You will have excellent communication skills and have the desire to support multiply planners.
