Job Description

Customer Sales AdvisorOldbury/DudleySalary: up to £26k Depending on experienceThis company has steadily grown in strength and expertise. 12% of the current workforce have been here for over 30 years!Due to continued growth and success, we are looking to expand our team.Ideally you will have experience from an engineering/automotive background, and you will be looking to join a dynamic team!The business recognises hard work, effort and commitment!Job Purpose:Excellent sales and customer service, achieving a consistently high standard of performance where quality, cost and delivery is optimal.To act as front-line liaison between the customer and their requirements.To liaise between the customer and internal departments as required to ensure the customer receives the highest possible level of service.Responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales DepartmentJob Duties:

  • Complete telephone and email sales enquires.
  • Deal with customer queries efficiently and effectively or escalate where necessary.
  • Input customer orders and raise delivery notes to ensure on-time order delivery.
  • Arrange the collection of returning goods from customer premises.
  • Upon request, update customer order delivery status including live and outstanding deliveries.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of paperwork, including delivery paperwork, and QHSE documentation.
  • Monitoring customer repair jobs through the workshop and maintain customer communication throughout.
  • Assist in populating and maintaining central customer database (CRM)
  • Actively promote all company services and participation in sales promotions.
  • Be flexible and willing to undertake tasks and roles, e.g., Parts + Service + Sales.
  • Raise any concerns with the Office support manager as and when necessary.
  • Load special customer jobs.
  • Input customer email/orders and raise delivery notes to ensure on-time order delivery.
  • Arrange the collection of returning goods from customer premises.
  • Monitor backorders and VORs and input into production to expedite overdue orders.
  • Produce accurate export documentation and invoices to enable timely payment from customers.
  • Provide general administration services to the sales managers including liaison with shipping agents, export depots, etc.
  • Telephone liaison with overseas sales offices & foreign customers as necessary
  • Assisting the sales manager with customer quotes, price enquiries, chasing back orders as and when required.
Requirements:Proven experience working within in a fast-paced telephone sales environmentProficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook in particular).A basic technical understanding.Work as part of a teamAttention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.Displays a good attitude towards work, and the aims and objectives of the company.Working Hours:8 am to 17:00 pm with ½ hour lunch& 08.30 am to 17.30 pm (Alternate weeks to cover the office)Holidays: 25 days plus statutoryLife Cover and Pension after successful probationary
