The service is delivered in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend and there is a focus on partnership working throughout the service to support those in the local communitywho need assistance to achieve their goals. We deliver treatment and support across the neighbourhoods ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to recovery.We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse (RGN) or Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to work in our City & Hackney Substance Use Service as a Specialist Substance Use Nurse, where you’ll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of the peoplewe support who are experiencing difficulties from drugs and alcohol usage.As a Specialist Substance Use Nurse we offer a starting salary of £36,934 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £43,208 per year + £3,633 ILW. (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initialstarting salary).You will have opportunities to progress your career with a structured learning journey and clearly defined career pathways that will enable you to achieve your long-term goals and work to your strengths.Whether you are looking to progress into a management and leadership role or to be a specialist in your field at Turning point we will support and encourage you on your career journey.Role ResponsibilityYou will undertake a diverse role including running well-being clinics in the community including full healthcare assessments, Blood Borne Virus screening and vaccination, supporting the management of alcohol and opiate community detoxifications and otherharm reduction and well-being interventions mainly focussed on Homeless service users.You will have a real opportunity to help shape service delivery and contribute to delivering clinically excellent services.The Ideal CandidateYou will need to be a qualified nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.As an employee you will have access to RCNi to assist with revalidation, indemnity insurance and support and supervision from the nurse manager and clinical lead.
