Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist looking to enhance their clinical and non-clinical knowledge and skills in an innovative Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Team.The post will be rotational and based at Homerton University Hospital, St. Leonards Hospital and satellite clinics across Hackney, as well as the opportunity to work in GP practices. The post holder will be well supported by a friendly team of highly Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists, including experienced advanced practice Physiotherapists, first contact Physiotherapists and a Consultant Physiotherapist.The Homertons’ award winning MSK teams consists of:

  • GP and Consultant referred outpatient service
  • Post orthopeadic surgery rehabilitation, sports medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasonography, virtual fracture and persistent pain clinics, non-medical prescribers
  • Close working relationships with radiology, rheumatology, orthopaedics, podiatry and emergency medicine
  • The successful candidate will be a key member of the team in delivering clinical education and quality improvement projects throughout the service, as well as evidence-based patient-centred physiotherapy management to a varied caseload of musculoskeletal patients.You will have the opportunity to develop your supervision and mentorship skills with the opportunity to supervise undergraduate physiotherapy students and band 5 physiotherapists.We are a service with an excellent reputation for developing its staff to meet the demands of the changing healthcare climate and offer a wide range of learning opportunities.
