Job Description

SENIOR SALES PERSONBUILDERS MERCHANT - BOW, LONDONGREAT SALARY AND EXCELLENT BENEFITSCelebrating 20 years of growth in the UK, our client employapproximately 2500 brilliant people and we work from around 150 branches around the UK.Our clients Groups portfolio of businesses incorporates a number of market leading brands within the building and plumbing industry.Due to their continued success and growth they now require a Senior Sales Person to working from their Bow, London Builders MerchantIf you are an experienced Senior Sales Person with experience of selling building products then this will be an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading organisation!As as Senior Sales Person your role will be to promote our clients products whilst influencing and negotiating with your customers. The role will be ledger focussed so any previous experience of working with ledgers would be an advantage. There will be aheavy focus on building new customer relationships whilst developing existing customer account spend.Because its all about making sure their customers get the best experience when they visit, your role includes:

  • Build effective working relationships with customers, in order to understand their requirements thus ensuring that the correct products are supplied.
  • Use initiative to identify sales opportunities and offer advice and solutions to customers, thus maximising profitable sales and margin.
  • Maintain a clean and effectively merchandised counter area in line with company policy.
  • Ensure that company policies are followed at all times when producing paperwork associated with sales.
  • Liaise with suppliers where necessary.
  • Support the Branch Manager and colleagues in working as a team to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively within company policy.
  • Ensure a tidy working environment at all times in line with health and safety guidelines.
  • Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by being security conscious at all times.
  • Perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.
  • You will be working from the Bow, London Branch
THE PERSONOur client is looking for someone with building merchanting / Builder Merchant industry experience as well as:
  • A really positive attitude
  • Someone who is reliable and enthusiastic
  • Someone who is happy to muck-in and do whatever needs doing
  • Enjoy talking to lots of different people
  • Live within a commutable distance to the Bow, London Branch
  • In return, you could follow many of the Branch Managers and Regional Managers who started out as Sales People and have built successful careers with our client
