About Our Young PersonASEND are looking for a tutor with Early Years experience to support a young child with Autism living in Hackney. Our pupils have a huge range of individual needs and abilities, and we work very hard to match the right SEN Tutors with the child who can mostbenefit from their skills and expertise. For this particular role we welcome people who are happy to deliver learning through play and exploration, and who have worked with preverbal or nonverbal children. There will be a focus on nurturing and developingthe childs understanding of their surroundings and communication skills. It is a great point in this childs development to teach them the skills they need to know as they are getting older! This is a hugely interesting and rewarding opportunity to reallymake a difference to their life, maintain their levels of learning and be ready to access school once again. If this sounds like the right role for you then please apply. What ASEND Tuition IsWe are looking for inspirational tutors in London to support children and young people with SEND. Many children with SEND have been disengaged with their learning. We support pupils that have struggled to stay in the classroom, who feel too anxious to goto school or whose needs arent sufficiently supported at school. We tutor children face to face in a range of settings including homes, schools, and community centres. You may be an experienced tutor or teacher or have experience of working with childrenin a therapeutic way. One of your aims will be to support a child at home and re-engage them in their learning, continue their educational development and return to school. ASEND tuition is replacing school for these young people and is normally part-time,taking place during school hours, five days a week. Our pupils have a range of individual interests, needs and abilities, and we work very hard to match the tutor with the child who can most benefit from their skills and expertise. We welcome people with broad ranges of backgrounds and knowledge to be ableto meet the very diverse needs of our young people. Some of our tutors specialise in SEN with a focus on certain academic subjects or learning needs and others work with specific behaviours related to SEN. Others have a background on childhood development. Some of our pupils who have deep-seated anxiety or mental health issues linked to their special needs work very well with tutors that are qualified Play, Art, Drama, Performance, Music, or Dance and Movement therapists. The successful candidates will:
