Permanent freelance position with Language Empire Limited Please note this is a self - employed position Language Empire was established in 2001 to provide professional interpreting and translation services to public and private sectors across the UK.We are an employment Business with a large client base including Hospitals, Courts, Solicitors, Councils, Probation, Police and many more. We provide a wide range of interpreting services in all languages and dialects across the country. We are currently recruiting permanent Face-to-Face Interpreters located in Gunnislake and surrounding areas. Language(s) in Demand but not limited to: Arabic, Filipino, Pashto, Somali, Thai Interpreters convert spoken or sign language statements from one language to another, working in situations where people do not speak the same language and effective communication between all parties is necessary.If you can speak one or more foreign languages and would like an important role communicating multilingually in areas such as politics, business or public service, this job could be for you. Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorising content in the original source language, then reproducing statements, questions and speeches in a different target language with accuracy.This is often achieved in only one direction, usually into the interpreters native language, but may be on a two-way basis. Interpreters will work in the following settings: - Business functions such as meetings, conferences, exhibitions and product launches. - Criminal justice proceedings, known as public service interpreting(PSI), including police and probation service interviews, courts. - Hearings, solicitor interviews, arbitration hearings and immigration tribunals. - Community-based events and assignments within the education, health and social services sectors.
