Manage Internal branded/retail branded packaging projects within NPD/EPD, CI & Sustainability, under the direction of the line manager. Through our Fish for Life programme, were dedicated to doing this in a responsible and sustainable manner that protects our industry and our environment.* Working as a key member of the Packaging Development team to execute development projects within agreed parameters against a project brief* Check packaging for suitability and testing for performance under various conditions on the bench or through factory trials* Generate technical packaging specifications for areas of responsibility* Liaise with relevant customers when required to ensure good communication of process,responding to their briefs and requirements* Liaise with purchasing, marketing, operations, npd, finance etc. to deliver project to timescale/cost* Keep abreast of packaging trends within the seafood and wider industry* Provide packaging information as required for purchasing, finance, npd, technical and operations* Evaluate and produce reports on competitors products.* Certified to IOP Diploma level or equivalent* Preferably educated to degree level within a science, technical or creative background* Experience within a packaging related role either FMCG or Converter* Creative and innovative approach to problem solving* Commercially aware/astute* Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships at all levels* Proactive approach, ability to forward think, with good project and time management skills* Flexibility to working hours and working location* Driving license* Implement Packaging Development and Cost Out projects that support growth and profitability.
