Job Description

Senior Finance Analyst - Grimsby - £45,000 - £55,000 & BonusChase & Holland are working exclusively with this forward thinking, market leading manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Grimsby to recruitment a Senior Finance Analyst. You will be responsible for optimising the key activities of the Projects Department.You will undertake various MI analysis and evaluation of projects as well as analysing site performance. You will prepare month end accounts for projects, co-ordinate capital budgets and forecasting processes and assist with the 5 year capital financial plans. Salary & Benefits include:

Responsibilities will include:
  • Take responsibility for providing analysis of projects to support project justifications including capital and cost improvement projects
  • Prepare tools for cost tracking, financial analysis, portfolio scenarios and what if analysis
  • Support with financial modelling for project proposals and justification including cost benefit exercise and ROI
  • Prepare and complete month end accounting activities related to project work (opex and capex)
  • Preparation of project budgets and rolling forecasts with Project Managers
  • Manage the fixed asset process for capital projects from initiation to completion including asset disposals
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects and activities
  • Prepare capital project financial analysis including monitoring costs and benefit tracking
  • Detailed variance analysis to give insight and influence business decisions
  • Support and influence the project managers to develop (opex/capex) business cases, including ensuring correct financial dates extracted
  • Site with project managers on a monthly basis to discuss variances to budget/ forecast and support in driving efficiencies
The ideal candidate will be:
  • Later stages or Fully Qualified Accountant, either CIMA, ACCA or ACA with experience of management accounting
  • Friendly, energetic, professional, well rounded individual with strong financial aptitude and excellent planning skills
  • Approach things with an outward mindset
  • Strong analytical mind with good attention to detail
  • Ability to lead change management initiatives
  • Ability to build relationships and work as a cross functional finance business partner with project managers and business improvement teams
  • Ability to identify, analyse and propose solutions to problems in a positive way
