Job Description

Badenoch & Clark have been commissioned to partner exclusively with a local housing association to assist them in recruiting an experienced and suitably qualified Compliance Team Leader on a permanent basis for either their offices located in Lincolnshire. The housing association managers 15,000 homes offering a range of other services to support people and communities across Lincolnshire. The role can be based in either Boston or Grimsby.Job purpose The role will deliver building compliance safety within LHP, with specific focus towards Asbestos, Fire, LOLER, Legionella management, Gas & Electrical safety and other compliance related disciplines. Core duties & accountabilities *Manage and promote Asbestos, Fire, LOLER, Legionella management and other compliance related disciplines such as Thorough Examination schemes and Sewage Treatment Plants within the organisation to ensure that it meets its obligations as a responsible social housing landlord.*Responsibility for the management of Asbestos, Fire, LOLER, Legionella management and other compliance related contracts to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed within the required timescales, including any follow-on actions identified.*Ensure that all condition inspections and audits for Asbestos, Fire, LOLER, Legionella management and other compliance activities are completed to the required standard, reviewing completed assessments and where required providing guidance to the Compliance Surveyors for their own development.*Ensure that all assets are recorded, inspected and maintained as part of the overall compliance delivery for Asbestos, Fire, LOLER, Legionella and other compliance related activities.*Manage and deliver any contract agreement with external parties with regards to the management of Asbestos, Fire, LOLER, Legionella and building services activity within the organisation, including any financial activities associated with their delivery and budget management.*Proactively work with the In-House Repair Service to ensure that any tasks or works undertaken for compliance activities are completed to the required standard.*Proactively, work with any other internal department undertaking compliance activity works or checks to ensure that they are completed to the required standard and within the required timescales*Work with the Planned Maintenance Team to ensure that compliance activities within buildings continues to remain in place whilst upgrade works are delivered.*Delivering a programme of post work inspections to ensure works undertaken have been completed to the required standard.Qualification Requirements *BOSH P901 Legionella management and control (D)*BOSH P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings (D)*IFSM recognised qualification/training for the delivery of Fire Risk Assessments and other Fire Safety activities. (D)*Evidence of commitment to Continual Personal Development (E)*Relevant training/qualification towards the management of LOLER or other compliance-based activities (D)*Membership of any relevant professional body with regards to building compliance activities relevant to this role. (D)Candidate Experience Requirements*Minimum of 2 years experience of working within a building compliance environment within the social housing sector. *A proven background and experience of working within a property maintenance background, with a sound understanding of the as built environment. *A proven background in the delivery of building compliance and services activities. *A proactive approach towards keeping up to date with the most recent developments in the sector. *A proven background in the management of external contractors, ranging from mobilisation to delivery, review of Key Indicator Performance measures and financial performance monitoring. *Skills to be able to build and maintain relationships with other teams, having confidence and knowledge when providing advice with regards to building compliance. *Excellent organisational and communication skills, with experience using various programmes within Microsoft Office.
