Job Description

Job Title: Bulgarian-Speaking Support Staff for Secondary School PupilCompany: Tradewind RecruitmentLocation: GrimsbyJob Type: Full-Time, Term Time OnlyWorking Hours: 08:30 to 15:30, Monday to FridayStart Date: Febriary 2024End Date: July 2024 (End of Academic Year)Salary: £80 to £100 per day (Depending upon experience)Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and fluent Bulgarian-speaking support staff member to work on a 1:1 basis with a secondary school-aged pupil. This role requires the ability to provide quick and effective translation between Englishand Bulgarian, facilitating communication and ensuring the students academic and personal needs are met.Responsibilities:

  • Translation Support: Provide real-time translation between English and Bulgarian to assist the pupil in understanding academic materials, instructions, and communication with teachers and peers.
  • 1:1 Assistance: Work closely with the pupil on a full-time basis, offering support during classroom activities, assignments, and other learning experiences.
  • Communication Liaison: Act as a bridge between the student, teachers, and other school staff, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in providing support across various subjects and activities to meet the individual needs of the student.
  • Timely and Consistent Attendance: Maintain regular working hours from 08:30 to 15:30 during term time, ensuring consistent presence to support the pupils academic journey.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in Bulgarian: Proficiency in both written and spoken Bulgarian is essential for effective communication with the student.
  • Translation Skills: Ability to quickly and accurately translate between English and Bulgarian in an educational setting.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with secondary school-aged students or in an educational support role is advantageous.
  • Commitment: The successful candidate must commit to working full-time during term time from January to July 2024.
