Symphony has an exciting opportunity available for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Analysis team based in Barnsley. We are currently seeking the very best people, to further strengthen our position within the industry by appointing dedicated individuals to share in our success.About the role:The purpose of the Business Intelligence Analyst role is to elevate the current reporting into actionable insight to allow business stakeholders to optimise their respective areas and the business to improve efficiencies.The business works on a core Oracle ERP system but uses MS SQL database for additional apps and for BI & Data Warehousing as well as several other tools which are being phased out. As the business becomes more data focused, this is an exciting new role within a new department that is centralising the business intelligence function.Key responsibilities of the Business Intelligence Analyst will include:- Analysing data and feeding back to stakeholders- Identifying business and performance improvement opportunities- Creating BI Reports and dashboards using Alteryx & Power BI- Ensuring consistency across all BI reports- Communicating with internal stakeholders- Fulfilling standard requests ad hoc data requestsAs the Business Intelligence Analyst, you must have: - Excellent Analytical skills- Fluent in SQL- Experience building data models- Advanced Excel Skills- Good communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills- Must be proactive and possess analytical, research and problem-solving skillsYou will also have skills & experience in:- Alteryx Designer- Power BI- SSRS/SSIS- Any experience with Oracle Databases advantageous- A manufacturing sectorSo, if this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you and you’d like to become our new Business Intelligence Analyst then please click ‘apply’ today – don’t miss out, we’d love to hear from you!
