Job Description

Science Teacher RequiredLeigh Academies Trust - Based in GreenwichLong Term Role (January 2024 Start)The Supply Register is currently working alongside the Leigh Academies Trust and are currently looking to appoint a Science Teacher.As a Science Teacher, you will be working for a well-established department to plan and prepare exciting lessons to a motivated group of students.Responsibilites As a Social Science Teacher

  • To be able to teach general Science for KS3 and SK4
  • To ensure that all lessons are planned with clear aims and objectives and delievered in line with the departmental schemes of work and school policies
  • To take into account the differing ability of students and differentiate work accordingly
  • To encourage all students to be be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets
  • To deal with inappropriate behaviour effectively and in accordance to the school policy
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a qualified teacher is essential
  • Must hold QTS or PGCE
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one
  • Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 references and cover the last 2 years of employment or study periods
