Job Description

Mental Health MentorThe SEN team at UCM are working with a SEN School in Greenwich, who are looking for passionate Mental Health Mentorto join their nurturing team. You will be supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 basis with therapeutic interventions. As well as social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, pupils under your care will have diagnosis of autism (ASD), MLD and associated communication challenges (SLCN). As you will be working alongside the therapy team, this is a great opportunity for those with a background/keen interest in psychology, mental health and therapy are welcometo apply; inclusive of graduates!School and Role brief:

  • “Good” Ofsted report
  • Supportive SLT who promote weekly CPD
  • On-site parking
  • Working closely with SENCO and Therapy Team to best support individual SEN
  • Planning and delivering tailored interventions
The successful Mental Health Mentorwill have:
  • Background in Psychology, Mental Health or related field
  • Ideally a qualification in Psychology, Mental Healthor related field
  • Experience supporting SEN, ideally in a school environment
  • Confidence in delivering interventions
  • A valid Enhanced DBS
