Job Description

Sixth Form College that is located in the borough of Greenwich, is currently recruiting for an LSA (Learning Support Assistant). This role is to start ASAP!Students who attend this college are encouraged to work towards clear goals and aspirations and to essentially be the best versions of themselves. Successful Principle who is a true visionary and leader. Supportive teachers and supportive staff who are welcoming. This is a mainstream college, with a large SEND provision which accommodates students with a variety of SEND (ie Autism/ SEMH/ CAMHS/ Behaviour Difficulties/ ADHD/ ODD/ Learning Difficulties/ Down Syndrome/ Wheel Chair users etc).

  • You have worked as either an Learning Mentor/ Behaviour Mentor /LSA / SEN TA / HLTA or Youth Worker
  • Your SEN experience in a support role must be in either; College/ PRU/ Alternative Provision or Mainstream School (with SEN pupils)
  • Can build a strong rapport & engage with students; 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Able to de-escalate behaviour (if required)
  • Dedicated to safeguarding of children
  • Your SEN experience; ASD/ SEMH/ CAMHS/ Behaviour/ ADHD/ Learning Difficulties/ Down Syndrome or Wheel Chair users
  • Experience with either secondary or college level SEN students
  • Able to commute to the borough of Greenwich
