We have a fantastic opportunity for a Tenancy Support officer working for a Leading Local Authority in Greater Manchester. This is a full-time role for the next 2 - 3 months.The RoleYour role will be to assist the Ukraine refugee households that will be housed in Trafford. Plus provide support to vulnerable clients within their own homes, by empowering the client with the skills to lead an independent life within the community to beable to maintain their tenancy.DutiesTo work with the Home Office to manage a caseload of asylum seekers/ refugees to provide a holistic support service by providing advice, information, and guidance.Support the successful integration of adults and families granted asylum by minimising rates of homelessness, rough sleeping, poor health, economic hardship, and social isolation and improving proficiency in English language.Proactively engaging with asylum seekers and refugees to offer assistance and support with finding accommodation and other essential services.Assess clients and provide advice and support covering, housing, benefits, health, employment, and English language.Developing effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and key stakeholders to support the delivery of support for asylum seekers and refugees.Ensuring the homeless prevention and support activities maintain delivery of the Councils corporate objectives.Promoting, encouraging, and supporting customer involvement and engagement in clients communities and services.Coaching and empowering clients to be able to independently manage all aspects of life skills, including areas such as rent arrears, property condition, Skills and Works, Health, and Income Maximisation.Provide a comprehensive support assessment, a holistic support plan and review meetings to clients who come from a variety of challenging client groups.Facilitate the smooth transition of new refugees from supported accommodation into mainstream society and help facilitate the return of failed asylum seekers.Key Requirements
