Job IntroductionThe Area Tunnel Engineering Team sits independently from the Area Tunnel Delivery Team and provides technical support and management to the tunnelling operation, both for the Sprayed Concrete Lining (SCL) and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) tunnel drives acrossthe project.The Area Tunnel Engineering Team is led by the Tunnel Engineering Manager who has specific responsibility for a specific tunnel drive, or series of tunnel drives. The Senior Tunnel Engineer sits within the Tunnel Engineering Team, reporting directly to theTunnel Engineering Manager.Role ResponsibilityRole The role of the Senior Tunnel Engineer is to manage the Shift Review Group process, including running the SRG, MAT meetings, contributing to the CTC meetings as directed by the Tunnel Engineering Manager.The role of Senior Tunnel Engineer is a technical management position. Technical interfaces with various internal and external stakeholders will be a key part of the role and the Senior Tunnel Engineer will be representing the SCS JV as part of this role.Specific ResponsibilitiesTheir specific duty is to manage the Shift Review Group process, including running the SRG, MAT meetings, contributing to the CTC meetings as directed by the TEM.
