Regional Director required to join an award winning Engineering consultancy within the Highways and Transport sectors!Due to ongoing success in the Highways and Transportation industry and some major client wins during 2020 we are looking to bring in a Regional Director to manage the Eastern region of the business. Over the tumultuous year this client has continued to win business, retain staff and now are looking to build upon this with a new Director to join the business and provide a vision for the next period of growth.Ideally you will have experience of working with Local Authority and clients within the public sector and be able to build upon these relationships within this new role.Role details:Working with the senior management team alongside other directors youll provide leadership and direction whilst also being accountable for business performance. As the Regional Director you will oversee a defined region, including profit and loss, debt management, utilisation and business growth plan delivery.Staff management will be pivotal within this role as youll be ensuring staff resources meet budget, carry out "one on one" appraisals and be involved in your regions recruitment plan.Youll also be responsible for building and developing relationships with existing and future clients, adopting a collaborative partnership approach and negotiating at senior level. The responsibility for winning new work (with a focus on long term contracts) will be vital to ensure the regional growth required in this role.What we need from you:Well be requiring someone who is an expert commercially and is aware of all aspects within running a business or region. A motivational leader with a history of delivering results and a want to succeed will be vital here.Substantial experience within managing large teams and budgets is required. Ideally you will be a Chartered member of the CIHT, ICE or similar within the Engineering sector.As the Regional Director youll hold detailed technical knowledge of transportation or engineering related disciplines.
