Whatever level you are at, you will be working within a specialist eight bedded ITU.The site performs a wide range or surgical procedurescovering multiple specialties such as complex, major cardio-thoracic surgery, major spinal and orthopaedic surgery, complex maxillofacial reconstructive surgery for cancer treatment, major gynaecological and general surgery procedures and many more.There isround the clock cardiac surgical cover by having a cardiac surgical specialist registrar on-site, as well as an on-call perfusionist and cardiac team. The ITU has the back up of a wide variety of clinical specialists, such as consultant intensivists to provideadditional support should it be required. There is also an ITU Resident Medical Officer on site 24/7.Positions are full time (37.5 hours per week) and include weekends and nights (on a rota).
