Job Description

As our new Head of Sales, youll get just that!Joining as our Head of Sales youll be responsible for developing and driving the sales and growth of our existing Spare parts business and new Services businesses that we are launching in 2022.Our new Services business consists of four industry revolutionising services, and as Head of Sales it will be your job to implement a range of sales strategies that acquires and retains new customers for these services whilst continuing to grow our marketshare in the spare parts market.Consequently, we are looking for a Head of Sales with the ability to successfully drive sales growth across a wide range of channels including merchant, distribution and software.Interesting, right Read on to find out more about our new Head of Sales position!The Role:The majority of our branches still rely on physical sales within branches to generate sales. Unlike other sectors (taxis, takeaways, retail, travel) the plumbing and heating sector has yet to be revolutionised by technology.We will be the ones to change that!As our Head of Sales, youll work directly within our Spares division that is part of Highbourne Group (Highbourne Group includes brands such as City Plumbing, Direct Heating Spares, National Shower Spares, FaultFinder, Plumbworld, The Bathroom Showroom,Plumbnation, and The Underfloor Heating Store).We currently sell physical spare parts for Gas Boilers, Showers and Bathrooms within our stores but we plan to evolve away into a 360 digital services/SaaS model where cost saving, efficiency, and environmental impact are sold as value adders.This is where YOU come in as our new Head of Sales.To give you an idea, youll work on implementing the sales strategy for our new Digital Services business, allowing us to onboard new customers and drive Sales and retention. These digital services will include:

  • FaultFinder - a newly acquired FaultFinder that utilises data to diagnose faults on Boilers. The benefit of this service is to improve repair times, reduce the need for multiple repair visits, and extend the lifespan of that boiler.
  • Stock Star - A system where we manage stock supplies on behalf of a contractor allowing for time efficient replenishments and a cost saving service.
  • Monitored Systems - a service about understanding the health of a boiler to further understand the lifespan and reliability - a health check for heating systems!
  • Recycling - a new end to end tracking system so we can manage the lifecycle of that boiler and recycle parts moving us into the Circular Economy.
We recognise there is a lot to do here. This is why youll be supported by a team of sales and heating experts. Consequently, no previous industry experience is required.Areas of focus:
  • Developing sales strategies and customer partnerships, through direct sales and influencing colleagues across Operations to deliver strategy across the Group.
  • Motivate high performing teams, creating an empowered workforce which can adapt its ways of working quickly, in order to respond to changing market conditions.
  • Build the sales strategy for the existing brands within the Spares and Services proposition, creating the strategy and relevant project streams behind new products, services and acquisitions, including Monitored Systems, FaultFinder, Stock Star and Recycling.
  • Continuously lead and drive the change required to enable growth as a business, ensuring colleagues are brought into the strategy and understand the role they play in order to enable the business overall success.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to further grow the Spares proposition and partner with the Group for Software, Support Services and Supply chain, ensuring that all sales activity is aligned to the lifetime value of the product.
  • Work collaboratively on the creation of a competitive pricing strategy for the business unit, whilst working collaboratively with the DHS, NSS and wider Group to ensure pricing pressures and relationships across the business are well managed.
This is primarily a remote-based role with visits to our office on an adhoc basis as required.You should be based in the UK and we have offices throughout the UKThis means you could be from areas such as Blackburn, Bolton, Bradford, Burnley, Buxton, Chester, Doncaster, Halifax, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Leeds, Liverpool, Macclesfield, Manchester, Oldham, Preston, Rochdale, Rochdale, Rotheram, Sheffield, Stockport,Stretford, York.You:The transformational prospect of this role means that we are looking for someone from outside industry to bring in new ideas - you MUST though have sold SaaS or Digital Services before.Requirements: Previous experience in selling SaaS
