The Company: A prominent and highly successful IT services group, established 1991, with an impressive roster of public sector and high-profile private sector clients. The company is a Microsoft Gold Partner (ERP reseller) and also enjoys formal collaborations with several other global technology brands.The Role: An entrepreneurial and inspirational Head of Marketing is now required for a new position which will own the objective of developing the firm’s proposition and further unlocking its potential. The next stage of the growth will be centred around digital marketing, online lead-generation, affiliate activities and building the profile of a brand which is expected to break into the national Top 10 in its market. The role reports to board level and will be a key strategic position in the management team, as reflected by the career opportunity on offer. The remit will include managing the marketing budget and a small departmental team, reviewing the existing agency relationships, ramping up the online lead generation pipeline, a review of the brand proposition and overhauling corporate communications/collateral etc.The Ideal Candidate will be an agile, dynamic and commercially focused marketer with an appetite for owning a proposition and helping it grow into something spectacular. Brochures and brollies are not the crux of this job but fertile lead generation and building a powerful brand most certainly are. The job holder must be highly adept at interpreting, reporting and acting on KPIs and Google Analytics etc.To be considered you are likely to be the holder of a strong marketing/digital/management degree - or MBA - who can demonstrate four years’ successful proposition-based achievement, ideally (but not necessarily) with a dynamic B2B software, IT services or perhaps a FinTech platform. But high achievers with a proven marketing pedigree in other sectors will also be considered on merit, as will ambitious senior AMs or ADs from digital marketing agencies.The role is based in Greater Manchester but can be conducted from home whilst the COVID safety measures are in place - and possibly two days per week post-COVID. Some travel will be necessary (to team meetings, occasional client meetings, and attendance at IT trade shows etc).
