Corporate Partner– Set up the corporate team of an international law firm and make the immediate jump to partner from Associate or Legal Director levelI am working exclusively for the Manchester office of a top-ranking international law firm. A rare opportunity in the market has come up for a highly experienced person (possibly senior associate or legal director level) to move up and join the firm as partnerand have sole responsibility to set up its Manchester Corporate Practice.This is not a cold/greenfield site, it has established top tier commercial, banking and employment teams there already and there is plenty of work to take immediately that is currently being farmed out to London on the M and A side. There are real, deeprelationships with low hanging fruit to mine.We are realistic about what kind of following you would have. We will look at partners. Or, if just below partner level, then any following is great, but more than that, this is going to suit someone who is a self-starter, happy to push open relationshipsand business develop new ones. Someone who is perhaps frustrated in their current role and deserves that jump higher that they haven’t been given so far.The firm has true global profit share amongst its partners and so the package can be very attractive.Initially I am looking to do a very soft intro, with the hiring partner for this role. A coffee in town. They are of the view that the team is planning on ambitious growth over the next five years and so even if now is not the right time, its still goodto link in regardless.#G2MSS
