CEO Vacancy at LASC Childcare ServicesLocated: Loanhead, MidlothianSalary: £48 - £52k per annum depending on experienceLeave: 33 days per year (increasing with longevity)Pension ContributionHours: 40 hours per weekContract type: Permanent / Employed - Hybrid roleLASC is a high-profile, award winning and successful child and social care charity within Midlothianhaving grown from strength to strength since its inauguration 28 years ago. Our current CEO whowas the founder and pace setter of the organisation has decided to take a well-deserved break andretire from her role leaving a fantastic opportunity for a suitable candidate to move the organisationthrough its next chapters.With six settings, 100 personnel, and 600 registered children aged 3 months – 14 years of age as wellas a young adult services, a community centre and charity shop, LASC is highly regarded in achievingits objectives within its sector of a high standard of care and support for families.The successful candidate will be required to evidence competence across many of the following areas:Track record – of successfully heading a similar size charitable organisation ideally within child-careand adult services, or able to demonstrate a career advancement in increased role.Leadership – Lead from the front and set the pace for the expectations within the organisation.Strategic – Be strategic in thinking and retain a focus on end goalsSelf-Aware – Be confident of your abilities and instil confidence in others.Fundraising – Demonstrate a track record of success with funding bids.Financial Management – Be financially astute and have a clear understanding of financialmanagement and legal compliance.Communication – Align to strong principles of communication across all stakeholders and staff teamReputation – Understand the importance of continuing to develop and strengthen our reputationwith all stakeholders.Governance – Understand the legal requirements of governance of a charity as well as Health andSafety, Data Protection, Safeguarding and Business Continuity.Applications must be supported by a current CV together with acovering letter demonstrating your skill set and experience to support the job role.The closing date for applications is 8 th September 2023LASC is an equal opportunities employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
