Transport ManagerTransport PlannerDriffield YO25£30000 - £35000Commutable from Goole, Hull, Beverley, or BridlingtonHours Days Monday to FridayThe CompanyA well established FMCG company based near Driffield is looking for an experienced Transport Planner that would like the next step or a Transport Manager looking for a new challenge.The RoleYou will be responsible for the efficient management of a team of drivers and fleet, and for ensuring the fleet is properly maintained and serviced at all times.Your Main duties will beTo ensure an efficient vehicle defect reporting system is in place and managedVehicle & Plant maintenance planningTransport Planning of routes.Ensure all vehicles & Plant are operated in a roadworthy condition.Ensure & oversee that correct vehicle maintenance procedures.Ensure vehicles are booked in & presented for MOTs on the correct dates.Ensure drivers conduct daily walk round checks efficiently.Ensure, Advised and Instruct the operator to be compliant to operating legislation.Ensure & oversee that an effective vehicle & plant defect reporting system is in place.Oversee vehicle scheduling.Responsible for effectively managing drivers.Maintain and keep driving records for a period of 12 months.Regularly check drivers digital & analogue tachographs charts/printouts.Provide warnings of any driving infringements to drivers.Be approachable & available for drivers.Driver CRB checks.Operator Licence variation applications.Investigating Accidents and liaising with the Fleet Insurance PolicySkills/ExperienceIdeally you will hold an international CPC Licence the minimum requirement is a national CPC Licence.An experienced Transport Planner looking for the next step or a Transport Manager currentlyYou will be an excellent communicator with both verbal and written skills.This is a demanding role so you will need to be flexible in your approach to work and have the ability to work under pressure.This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join a fast moving, successful company.
