Job Description

Our client is on the lookout for a dynamic Support Engineer to join their dedicated ICT Shared Service team. This role is critical in providing technical support and maintaining the ICT infrastructure that is essential to their operationsRole Summary: As a Support Engineer, youll be the backbone of ensuring the ICT infrastructures architectural design, functionality, and security are to the highest standard. Your day-to-day will involve everything from managing the Storage Area Network(SAN) to ensuring the security of Microsoft Windows Servers, VMWare, and associated infrastructure products.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage workload priorities to align with project timelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Installation, testing, upgrading, and maintenance of the ICT server infrastructure.
  • Ensure all documentation and records are up-to-date, adhering to ISO 27001 and ITIL standards.
  • Maintain high-security standards to protect infrastructure from internal and external threats.
  • Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis, ensuring 24/7/365 service availability. �
  • Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities.
About You:
  • Qualified or progressing towards formal ICT qualifications (MCSE level preferred). �
  • Experience in managing a secure and resilient computer infrastructure in a large organisation.
  • Proficient in SAN management, MS Azure Cloud, Exchange Online, Office 365, and Windows server environment.
  • Excellent customer care skills with a "can-do" attitude. �
  • Ability to work methodically, prioritize workload effectively, and communicate clearly.
Additional Information:
  • This position is based in Cambourne with regular travel to sites in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
  • A valid driving license is essential.
  • There is an additional shift allowance of £2,625
  • You will be required to work 1 in every 4 weeks on call
  • 2 days in the office per week (CB23)
