Job Description

Supply TeacherLocation: Birmingham (City & North)Days: 5 days, Monday - Friday, Term Time OnlyHours: 8:30am - 3:30pmPay: £100 - £120 per dayStart Date: ASAP or Sept 2023End Date: July 2024LTF have partnered with a variety of Secondary Schools located across the Birmingham City & North region to source experienced and ambitious Supply Teachers. The role involves overseeing classes of 25 - 30 students while they complete work that has beenpreviously set for them by an absent teacher. The schools are looking for applicants who can commit to working on a full-time basis and who can be flexible and willing to get involved within a variety of subjects across the schools curriculum.The schools are looking to appoint someone who:

  • Is a competent with teaching & content delivery with at least one years experience
  • Has an understanding of supporting pupils academic progress, across a wide range of subjects
  • Has excellent communication skills and can build relationships quickly
  • Is capable of controlling groups of students, using the schools behaviour policy to manage challenging behaviours
  • Will be reliable and consistent, showing commitment to raising the standards across the school
  • Is dedicated to working with various departments to ensure attainment levels remain consistently high
The main duties of this role are:
  • Working within KS3 and SK4 students across all subjects
  • Delivering content to groups of 25 - 30 students
  • Feeding back to teachers, monitoring academic progress and group behaviour
  • Willing to work with students in who need additional academic support
  • Liaising with department leaders to devise effective student outcomes
