Job Description

Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching AssistantWe are working with various SEND schools across the North of Birmingham, and are currently searching for Psychology Graduates to join these schools as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant.This is a great opportunity for you to build on your knowledge of SEND needs, whilst aiding children and young people with SEND to adapt to their situation.The main role of a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant within a SEND school is to:

Observe, report and assess behaviour of the students in your care
Collaborating with professionals such as Speech and Language therapists, Education/Clinical Psychologists, Nurses etc.
Keep informed regarding the ever changing strategies used to aid learners with SEND needs.

Requirements for the role of Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant:

DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
A bachelors degree in Psychology
Empathy, patience and adaptability
Ability to work as part of a team
