Registered Manager - Childrens Residential Services - Birmingham - 45K + BenefitsHamptons Resourcing are proud to be working exclusively with a Specialist Childrens Residential Services provider to help them source a Registered Manager to oversee the running of a 3 bed Childrens Home in Birmingham. The Home caters for Childrenwith LD. This is a challenging yet greatly rewarding for the right candidate.The Company we are working with is a small family run business providing excellent Childrens Residential care with highly experienced clinical staff at the heart of their success. This post is key to the culture of the Home and is essential to the quality,care, and nurturing nature the company provides for the children to reach their full potential. The Manager will be expected to play a hands-on role with the children and extend your support and guidance to a dedicated team.You will have a great support network and further training opportunities available. Our client aims to provide and deliver nothing but the very best professional care with quality being the focus and would want you to be part of the innovative developmentstaking place on a regular basis.Duties and ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for delivering childcare that is focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. Consequently, you are expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and supportstaff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. As this Home accommodates Children with complex learning difficulties, In-depth knowledge of LD is essential.This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, and facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.Skills & Experience (Essential)

  • Significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, management experience is essential
  • QCF- level 5 leaderships and management
  • A commitment to delivering high standards and quality care
  • In-depth knowledge of LD, and other complex/challenging behaviours
  • Hold a current UK Driving License with access to a vehicle which can be used for business purposes.
Interested Candidates will need to hold a Social Work and or Management Qualification, ideally with a background in residential care working with adolescents and bring excellent management and leadership qualities.
