Job Description

ModuleCo Healthcare has an exciting opportunity available for a Maintenance Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is a home-based position with occasional travel across the UK, many of which are located in the Midlands and South West of the country. In return, we are offeringacompetitive salary of £37,500 - £40,000 per annum, a company vehicle plus benefits depending on experience.At ModuleCo Healthcare we provide a full range of innovative and specialist medical buildings, delivered on time and on budget. Since 2002 ModuleCo Healthcare have worked closely with NHS Trusts, Primary Care Trusts, Consultants, Contractors, and Architectsthroughout the UK to successfully deliver over 100 specialist modular healthcare facilities.Key duties and responsibilities of our Maintenance Manager:

  • Ensuring our facilities are safe, compliant with specifications and able to pass regular NHS validations
  • Scheduling, organising, and overseeing both PPM and reactive maintenance across the companys healthcare asset portfolio
  • Regularly auditing plant and equipment across facilities and implement improvement plans for end-of-life cycle plant and change to performance requirements
  • Commissioning and managing, where necessary, sub-contractors to ensure faults are rectified effectively and in a timely manner or to carry out routine maintenance
  • Ensuring all technical and drawn information is available to sub-contractors as necessary
  • Working closely with maintenance administrator to ensure schedules are effectively implemented
  • Attending to faults across hospitals sites to investigate and formulate resolution strategy
  • Ability to perform minor servicing duties on HVAC plant, if and when required
  • Assisting with stock control of essential parts and equipment
  • Attending pre-design meetings with manufacturing partner to ensure companies maintenance requirements are fully implemented and meet NHS imposed standards
  • Reviewing of facilities within factory environment prior to delivery for compliance with engineering standards and quality of engineering
  • Ensuring compliance with mandatory testing requirements (periodic electrical inspections, theatre validations etc)
  • Attending and witnessing commissioning of new facilities on site to ensure MCH standards are met
  • Liaising and pointing of contact for maintenance / technical issues
Skills and experience required to be our Maintenance Manager:
  • Qualified technician in either H&V or Controls disciplines
  • Previous experience working within hospital environment an advantage but not essential
  • BMS Controls experience an advantage
  • Good understanding of pipework systems and controls
  • Good understanding of electric systems and HVAC wiring systems
  • An understanding of or willingness to learn the relevant specific healthcare regulations
  • Good understanding of builders work in connection with services i.e. firestopping
  • Commercial approach in dealing with subcontractors, progress chasing etc
  • Good client facing skills, candidate will be the key contact for our clients
  • Good engineering problem solving skills and a willingness to sometimes work under pressure
  • Confidence to deal with specialist sub-contractors for maintenance, repairs and validations
  • Good standard of communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to communicate, accurately, and convincingly at all levels both internally and with external clients
  • Must be computer literate with good level of experience using Outlook, MS Word and Excel
  • Full driving license essential
