Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking organization within the charity sector, is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract to cover maternity leave. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotalrole in supporting subsidiary companies, providing crucial financial insights, and contributing to effective decision-making in the charitable sector.Key Responsibilities:As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:* Business Partnering:* Building strong relationships with subsidiary companies and support functions.* Collaborating closely with the finance team to ensure consistency and efficiency.* Management Accounts:* Overseeing budgeting processes and reviewing financial reports.* Analyzing performance variances and ensuring accurate forecasts.* Working Capital and Cash Flow:* Reviewing subsidiary balance sheets and resolving discrepancies.* Contributing to the organizations cash flow management process.* Reporting:* Preparing reports for various stakeholders, including the board and senior management.* Providing management accounts and insightful commentary.* Audits:* Overseeing external audits and preparation of statutory accounts.* Assisting with internal audit processes.* Team Management:* Providing leadership to the finance team, promoting high performance.* Managing and supporting team members in their development.Qualifications:* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.* Proven experience in management accounting.* Strong analytical and communication skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Knowledge of relevant financial software and tools.Benefits:* Competitive salary of £46,500 per annum.* 30 days of annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays.* Flexible work arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).Join a dedicated and collaborative team in the charity sector, where your work will make a meaningful impact on the organizations mission.If youre a dedicated and qualified accountant looking to make a significant impact in the charitable sector, we encourage you to apply.Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at if you have any questions or need further information.
