SEN School (SEMH) in Grantham, Lincolnshire is recruiting for a PE / Sport Teaching Assistant. ASAP or in January 2021 start!Dynamic and vibrant SEN School (SEMH) that essentially caters to children who have SEMH/ Complex Needs and Behavioural Difficulties. Many of the children are on EHCPs and would be beneficial if you have a good understanding of EHCPs. This SEN School has fantastic educational practitioners, SEN Teachers, SENTAs, HLTAs and Senior Leadership. It is essential that all new staff have a good understanding of SEMH/ Complex Needs / CAMHS/ ADHD and has worked with children and young people with these needs in either a PRU/ Alternative Unit/SEN School (Behaviour)/ Mainstream School with SEN.Permanent immediate or January 2021 PE Teaching Assistant/ Sports instructor/ Sports SEN TA who is able to build a strong rapport with children and young people on a 1:1 basis and within small group. Great experience working with children in various sports related activities. As a PE Teaching Assistant/ Sports instructor/ Sports SEN TA, you must be able to engage in creative sports / PE lessons and be able to get your students on task! Must be able to build a strong rapport with your pupils and you must be focused on safeguarding children.
