Job Description

Popular & Thriving Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in the Grantham, Lincolnshire would like to appoint a permanent and full time HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant). Full time and to start ASAPFantastic new job opportunity for an empathetic, resilient, dedicated, pro-active and focused HLTA / experienced SEN TA / Behaviour TA / Mentor who is looking for a full-time post with behavioural pupils. You would be teaching students who have been diagnosed with SEMH and Challenging Behaviour. Pupils are ranged between 7 - 18 years old. Your SEN experience must be in either a PRU/ Alternative provision / SEN School or Mainstream School.You have a range of SEN experience with SEMH/ ASD / ADHD/ CAMHS/ Complex Needs. You will be able to build a strong rapport with children and young people and excellent at de-escalating challenging behaviour. Additionally, because you will be expect to teach small classes and on a 1:1 basis you must have experience of this and be confident doing so.

  • You are either a HLTA already OR an Experienced SEN TA / LSA / Behaviour Mentor/ Learning Mentor
  • Your SEN Experience -CAMHS/ SEMH/ ASD / ADHD/ Complex Needs or Difficult Behavioural pupils
  • 1:1 Teaching Experience & in Small Groups
  • You are passionate about working with SEN pupils
  • Resilient, Engaging, Pro-active, Able to de-escalate behaviour, Dedicated and Knowledgeable with SEN
  • MUST be dedicated to safeguarding children
  • You live in easily commutable distance to Grantham, Lincolnshire
