Environmental Health OfficerLocation: Grantham Hourly rate: £28 to £34 PAYEContract length: until July 2021Advantage Resourcing is seeking candidates to apply for an Environment Heath Officer. In this role you will be carrying out interventions and inspections of premises and enforce a variety of legislation over the full range of environmental health functions including (but not exclusively) food safety, health and safety, environmental protection, housing standards and public health.Overall purposeTo protect and improve the health, safety and environment in an efficient and effective way through the application of specialist skills, knowledge and expertise in the full range of environmental health functions.Knowledge/ Experience* 5 years recent post qualification experience of working as an Environmental Health Officer in a regulatory environment* Working knowledge of relevant environmental health legislation, codes of practice and guidance* Detailed technical knowledge of at least one specialist area of environmental health* Good general IT skills, including the use of MS Office and Outlook* Experience of using the Civica APP Authority DatabaseQualifications* Relevant qualification (BSc, MSc or Diploma) in Environmental Health issued by the Environmental Health Officers Education Board* EHRB or REHIS registration* Postgraduate diploma in food, health and safety, housing, pollution control or acoustics or postgraduate level study in a relevant subject* Full driving licence* Member grade of the Chartered Institute of Environmental HealthAptitudes* Ability to carry out the physical demands of the role, including the use of equipment to undertake inspections and sampling visits.* Ability to translate complicated technical issues in to understandable plain languageThe internal reference number of this vacancy is 838040 however please apply using the application link using your CV.Please note that due to the high number of applications its not always possible to provide detailed feedback to all candidates, please accept my apologies for this.Advantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
