Are you interested in a hospital pharmacy career in Glasgow & ClydeDoes the opportunity to train in a supportive environment with motivated pharmacists appeal to you Would you like the opportunity to work in specialist units with university links, where you can use and develop your pharmacy knowledge and skillsWe are currently seeking two experienced clinical pharmacists with excellent communication skills to join the surgical and critical care team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. You will be part of our team helping to lead and develop patient focused clinical services to a variety of surgical specialties. You will work in our surgical wards and will have the opportunity to work within our critical care unit as well as our new major trauma ward. We are currently undertaking a project looking to change the patient’s perioperative journey which will involve the development of pharmacist led clinics. You will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team participating in team meetings, supporting medicine reconciliation processes and initiatives such as triage and referral. You will act as a source of information and prescribing support providing information on all aspects of drug use including patient safety and contributing to strategic plans for modern pharmacy services. The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is a busy teaching hospital situated in South Glasgow and has an excellent team of friendly pharmacy staff committed to modernisation of services and in particular ward based medicines management, pharmacist prescribing and e-health initiatives. You should have a Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should also have completed (or have a planned submission date) the NES Foundation Level Training or equivalent. Experience in a critical care environment would be advantageous but not essential. The posts are Monday to Friday with participation in weekend, public holiday and on call shifts.
