An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Dietitian with paediatric experience to further develop their knowledge and skills. The post is one of 8 rotational posts in the dept and this rotation will be based in paediatric haematology and oncology. The Paediatric Dietetic Service has a team of 30 Dietitians, based across 4 sites: Royal Hospital for Children, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, Inverclyde Royal Hospital and the Vale of Leven Hospital. The Royal Hospital for Children is one of the largest paediatric centres in the UK and is a national and tertiary referral centre for a wide range of paediatric specialities. You may also be required to cover services on the other sites. The Paediatric Haematology & Oncology service is a West of Scotland service for paediatric haematology and oncology and a national service for allogenic stem cell transplants. You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team with a Lead Dietitian, medical, nursing staff and other AHP colleagues. You will work within a larger clinical team of dietitians and receive good peer support and opportunities for personal and professional development. You will also participate in the student clinical placement programme. You will have a BSc in Dietetics or equivalent, evidence of relevant post graduate training/CPD and be registered with the HCPC. Paediatric experience or post graduate training is preferable but applicants with experience in oncology/haematology will be considered.
