Ready to see where your ambition will lead youJob descriptionAre you an Engineer looking for a motivating, challenging, and exciting role supporting the UKs Royal Navy If so, we have some fantastic opportunities offering job stability and career progression, with access to some of the most exciting and rewardingprojects in the UK Defence industry!As an Electrical Engineer, you will join one of our teams of highly skilled and motivated engineers and specialists. You will be responsible for conducting electrical equipment verification and validation as part of the Type 26 Joint Acceptance & Assuranceteam. This is to ensure that necessary measures have been taken by the contractor to minimise the risk of a claim against MOD indemnity.Please note, this role requires the successful applicant to work onsite at either of the above listed locations. Some travel between the two sites may also be required.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Act as Acceptance Authority, when duly delegated, for the ships requirement specification of electrical power and distribution, and platform management systems
  • Conduct surveillance activities of electrical installations against design production drawings and standards to ensure compliance and safety
  • Provide local validation in support of build and trials related activities and milestones, and report progress against the programme
  • Monitor and review the contractors product quality assurance activities and performance
Person specificationTo be successful with your application, youll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
  • Minimum of a HNC qualification (i.e., Level 4) in an engineering subject, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Electrical engineering experience including either electrical product/systems design, testing and / or acceptance
  • Experience working with other teams and a variety of stakeholders
In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview:
