The Queen Elizabeth University hospital (QEUH) is currently inviting applicants for CT Modality Lead Radiographer based in SW Sector comprising of Gartnavel General Hospital, Victoria Ambulatory Care Hospital and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This is an opportunity for an experienced, hardworking individual to join the CT Service.The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is the largest acute hospital in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde where there is cross site rotation based on a ‘hub and spoke’ model enabling staff to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge and skills across scheduled and unscheduled care. As modality lead you will be required to participate in a hub and spoke rotation. You will work closely with the local management team and existing CT modality leads to deliver a quality patient focussed service and lead on staff training and development in those areas. The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital has a strong working relationship with the local university hosting over 90 student clinical placements in an innovative learning environment. You will liaise closely with the university and practice educators to ensure a high quality training environment for all undergraduate and post graduate students on placement whilst having a commitment to supporting and developing staff.You will be key to the development and implementation of clinical and professional standards e.g. review of imaging protocols in line with best practice and IRMER 2017 regulations. You will be responsible for day to day management, overseeing quality assurance standards to ensure they are effected, documented and acted on as appropriate. You will play an active role in helping NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde meet NHS Scotland waiting time targets. The South West Sector has a busy ED Department and specialities with associated Mobile and Theatre Imaging such as Orthopaedics, Urology, Surgery, Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Oncology.
